What is ARPANET? Arpanet's full name is Advanced Research Projects Agency Network. It was the world's first packet-switching network. This was the first network in the world. In which the TCP / IP model is used. Arpanet was a network in which the Internet was first started.

To log on to Internet, we should
need-
i) An Internet Connection
ii) A modem
iii) Internet Access
iv) A program that controls the communication of data on the computer
system.

The factors affecting the choice of
IPS are:
i) Technology: We should known
which type of technology the ISP is using – dial-up, cable, or satellite. Based
on this information, decide which technology is suitable for us.
ii) Speed: We should check what
speed we will be getting while surfing and downloading from the Internet.
iii) Cost: The price of the
Internet connection is based on the type of connection and speed. We should
always search for the best offers and deals.
iv) Usage: We must check whether there is any limit to the Internet usage in
your plan.

A modem is a computer peripheral or accessory that allows you to connect
and communicate with other computers via telephone lines.
