    C. Write a step to:

    1. Add Smart Art to a slide

    To add smart art to a slide-

    i) Click the insert tab

    ii) In the illustration group click on smart art.

    (The choose a smart art Graphic dialog box appears)

    iii) Select a category, say, Hierarchy, and then select a graphic layout.

    iv) Click Ok. The smart art graphic will appear on the current slide.

    v) Click [Text] in each box and type the text.

    2. Inserting an audio file in your presentation.

    To insert an audio in our presentation

    i) Click the insert tab.

    ii) click the drop-down arrow of the Audio option in Media group. A menu opens.

    iii) You can choose any of these difference source from the menu to insert the sound file.

    (Audio from file/ Clip art audio/record audio).

    iv) If you choose Audio from file then in the insert dialog box that appears, type a search term from an audio in the box and press ENTER. Select a file from the list of sound files that appears and click on the Insert button.

    v) The audio will be inserted on the sild and will be selected by default.

    3. Move a slide object to a different location.

    To move a slid object to a different location.

    i) Click the object that you want to move.

    (The mouse pointer turns to four-way pointing arrow)

    ii) Hold down the left mouse button and drag(move) the mouse to move the object a new location.

    iii) Release the mouse button once you are done.

    4. Apply different transaction effects to each slide.

    To apply different transaction effect to each slide

    i) Click the transaction tab.

    ii) In the transaction to tis slide group, by default, none is applied to each slide. Click the more button to see all the available choices.  Click the transaction to apply it to the selected slide. This will automatically play the preview of the transaction.

    1. Describe Microsoft Power Point?

    Microsoft Power Point enables us to create presentation including charts, graphics, slides, and speakers notes. Also, it enables us to print the slides for hard outs, can be displayed in the form of slides show on the computer monitor or displayed on the screen using overhead projector.

    2. Name the different view used to create presentation in Power Point.

    Power Point provide four different views which we can use while creating a presentation.

    i) Normal view: Normal view is the main editing view, where we can create and developed our presentation.

    ii) Slide Shorter View: This view presents our slides in thumbnail form.

    iii) Note page View: The view allows us to view and work with our speaker notes in full page format.

    iv) Slide Shoe View: This view displays the slides as an electronic presentation on the full screen mode in our computer screen.

    3. What are the two ways in which you can add objects to a slide?

    We can add objects to a slide by using-

    i) The pre-defined PowerPoint slide layouts or

    ii) By doing these manually in a blank slide.

    4. How do we insert a clip art in the presentation?

    We can insert a clip art in our slide by-

    i) Clicking the insert tab on the ribbon

    ii) In the illustration group, Click clip art button icon.

    iii) Search for the clip art using the search for text box in the clip art task pane.

    iv) Click the clip art you want.

    (The clip art will be inserted and the picture tools appears on the format tab).

    5. How can you display a numeric data in our presentation?

    We can display numeric data in our presentation using table that enables us to arrange table data in rows and columns for easy data comparison.

    6. Write a short note on Slide Animation and Transaction Effect.

    i) Slide Animation: Animation are special effects that we can add to text and objects on a slide. It can make audience pay attention to important points, control the flow of information, and add life to the presentation to make it more interesting.

    ii) TransitionsIt offer a way to add variety to the way slide appears during a slide show. It occurs in our slide show when we move from one slide to the next.

    7. What is Transition? Give Example

    While watching films or cartoons, you have noticed how the next scene begins when one ends. So, the way one slide follows the other one is called Transition.

    8. What is the purpose of Power Point Presentation?

    The purpose of Power Point presentation is to communicate information or media through series of slides. Along with regular text, our slides can contain numerous types of contents such as tables, images, drawings, charts, links, word art, video, or audio etc.

    9. What are the common uses of Power Point? Give example.

    Whether we use one slide or many, we can find uses to power point in many professions and areas.

    Some examples of power point projects include: Business meeting, Tutorials for students or workers, photo slides show, mailing labels, resumes, time lines and flowchart etc.

    10. What are the rules to be followed while creating a presentation?

    Some of the rules we must follow while creating a presentation are:

    i) We should not read our presentation straight from the slides.

    ii) Should not forget our audience.

    iii) We should choose readable color and fonts.

    iv) We should not overload our presentation with animations.

    v) We should not use animation sparingly to enhance our presentation.

    vi) We should follow the 5/5/5 rule.

    11. What are the three main elements to a Power Point Presentation?

    The three main elements to a Power Point Presentation are:

    i) Text: Allow us to reinforce our main points and keep key terms and concepts in readers minds. Text should almost never appear in blocks, but it should be organized into lists of single words or short statements that are easy to grasp.

    ii) Images:  Illustration or highlight our main point. Some slides may only require an image with caption to provide a visual for whatever we are presenting orally.

    iii) Graphs or Tables: Present complicated information or numeric figures in a clear easily digestible manner.

     

    12. What is Smart Art? How Smart Art Graphics are grouped?

    Smart Art is a set of graphics that help us create different kinds of lists, process diagram, or a hierarchy.

    The Smart Art graphic are grouped into seven categories:

    i) Namely

    ii) List

    iii) Process

    iv) Cycle

    v) Hierarchy

    vi) Relation ship

    vii) Matrix and Pyramid
