ii) Using insert table option from the insert table menu.
3. Give the
different steps to apply styles to a table.
Steps to apply styles to a table are given below:
i) Click anywhere on the table.
ii) Click the Design Tab in the ribbon.
iii) From the Table Styles group select one of the
style option or click on the down arrow button to view all the pre-defined
table styles (The Table Style Gallery appears)
iv) Click on the desired style.
The chosen style will be applied to the table.
4. How you
can align text in a table?
In-order to align text in a table we need to follow the given
steps below:
i) Select the row, column, cell or table whose text you
want to align.
ii) Click the layout tab from the Ribbon.
iii) In the Alignment group, click the desired
alignment.
The chosen alignment will be applied to your selected
table text.
5. List the
steps to adjust the column width.
To adjust the column width first:
i) Position the mouse pointer over the right side of the
column.
If the pointer
turns in to two-way pointing arrow. Then,
ii) Drag the column edge right to the wider or left to
narrow the column width.
iv) Release the mouse if you think the column width of
the table is ok.
The new column width appears.
6. How can
you calculate the average of values in a column?
To calculate the average value in a column just we need
to type
=AVERAGE (Above)
in formula text box.

A. Fill in the blanks:

To resize a shape:
i) Click on the shape you want to resize. (Resize handles
appears around the shape)
ii) Click the handle and drag it to resize the shape.
2. insert a
shape
To insert a shape:
i) Click the insert tab on the Ribbon.
ii) In the illustration group click shapes.
iii) Click the shape you want from the Shapes gallery.
(The pointer change to plus+ symbol)
iv) Now drag to create the shape of the desired size at
the location in the document.
3. colour
the outline of the shape
To colour the outline of the shape:
i) Click the shape you want to colour.
ii) Click the Format tab on the Ribbon.
iii) In the Shape Styles group, Click the arrow next to
the Shape Outline icon.
(Shape Outline colour gallery appears)
iv) You can position the mouse pointer over any
colour to see the live preview. or
v) Directly you can Click on any colour you want to add
as your shape outline.
Word applies the colour to the outline of the selected
shape.
4. inserting
a WordArt in a document.
To insert a WordArt in a document-
i) Click the insert tab on the ribbon.
ii) In the Text group, click WordArt.
iii) Click the WordArt style you want.
iv) Type the text that you want to insert in the document.
5. rotating
a WordArt
To rotate a WordArt-
i) Click the WordArt object that you want to rotate.
ii) Click the Format tab on the Ribbon
iii) In the Arrange Group, Click the Rotate button.
iv) Select the desired rotating option for your WordArt.

1. Explain
the two basic types of graphics used to enhance the Word documents.
The two basic types of graphics used to enhance the word
document are:
i) Pictures: This are
a types of graphics that may be created from another file. They include bitmap,
scanned pictures, photographs and clip arts.
ii) Drawing Objects: These
are a types of objects that include lines, curves, shapes, and WordArt. These
objects are part of Word document where you can resize, rotate, flip, colour
and combined any other shape to make a complex shape.
2. Name the
additional tab which is highlighted whenever you insert any shape in the
document.
Format tab is the additional tab which is highlighted
whenever you insert any shape in the document.
3. What are
the use of WordArt?
WordArt is used to create stylized text with various
special effects such as texture and outlines. we can also create shadowed,
skewed, rotate and stretched text as well as text that has been fitted to
predefine shapes.
4. How can
you change the shape of the WordArt?
To change the shape of the WordArt-
i) Click on the WordArt object that we want to change.
ii) Click the Format tab in the Ribbon.
iii) In the WordArt Styles groups, click Change WordArt
Shape button.
iv) Click the desired shape from the gallery.
Word applies selected style shape to the WordArt object.
5. Give the
different steps to add shadow effects to WordArt.
To add a shadow effect to WordArt, follow the given steps
below:
i) Click the WordArt objects to which you want to give a
shadow effect.
ii) Click the Format tab on the Ribbon.
iii) In the Shadow Effects group, click Shadow Effects.
iv) Select your desired option from the shadow effect
groups.
Word applies selected shadow effects to a WordArt.
